On the eve of the great Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha, the RAMU Ummah was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine, Mr. Yagmur Guldere, together with Ali Chimen, the representative of Diyanet - the Department of Religious Affairs of this country.

“Yesterday, July 14, we were visited by the Ambassador of Turkey, Mr. Yagmur Guldere, accompanied by his adviser, the representative of Diyanet, Mr. Ali Chimen. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the representative of Diyanet, which is the Turkish Ministry of Religious Affairs, dedicated to educational activities, support for Muslims, etc.,”, - said the mufti of the RAMU Ummah Said Ismagilov.

As sheikh Said explained, Ali Chimen, the new representative of Diyanet in Ukraine, arrived quite recently, and Mr. Ambassador acquainted him with the main Religious Administrations operating in Ukraine:

“They visited three Administrations, met with three muftis and visited us. The meeting was an introductory one: we talked about our activities and the direction of Islam, namely the traditional Sunni Islam, which we represent. Our guests were interested in our plans and projects. Among other things, we showed them the gymnasium "Our Future", talked about the programs and projects that we implement, including the program for studying the Turkish language, which is in our school. "

As Said Ismagilov notes, the meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere - "absolutely open, full of trust":

“In conclusion, the guests gave us their publications, in particular the meanings of the Quran, translated into Ukrainian, issued in Turkey by Diyanet, and we, in turn, gave them the first-ever Ukrainian-language encyclopedic dictionary of Islamic terms (“Islam: an encyclopedic dictionary”), as well as the edition of the Quran, published by us, and also invited them to celebrate the Eid al-Adha holiday with us, which will be in a few days."

The meeting ended with an agreement to deepen friendship and cooperation between Muslims of Ukraine and Turkey.

According to the press service of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Ukraine, a Consultation on Religious Services has been created in it to better respond to the demands and needs of Turkish citizens and compatriots in Ukraine.
