Dear brothers and sisters in Islam! I congratulate us all upon the completion of the Holy month of Ramadan, and arrival of the great fast-breaking holiday Eid al-Fitr!

Allah Almighty said: “... complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful” [Qur’an, 2:185]. So, both fasting and glorifying God Almighty upon the festive day, when we recite the takbir — that is because He guided us. Faith in Allah, fasting, reading the Qur’an and praying taraweeh all are components of His guidance.

Allah, who guided us to Islam, ordered us to glorify Him on the festive day, and be thankful for all the blessings He gave us. So let us be grateful for having witnessed another Ramadan and having successfully completed it!

Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “There are two (occasions) of joy for the observer of fast. He feels joy when he breaks the fast and he is happy when he meets Allah.” We too, God willing, will meet Allah on the Day of Judgement and be happy that we were fasting in our worldly life, seeing the great Mercy Allah rewards us with for doing so.

May the holiday be happu, blessed and joyful for everyone of us, including muslims in occupied Crimea and Donbas and Muslims from all over the world! I pray for Allah’s blessings for Ukraine and Ukrainian Muslims, and for a happy and bright future for us all! Happy holiday, dear brothers and sisters! Eid Mubarak!
