On 15-18 December Mufti Said Ismagilov participated in an International Seminar on the Amman Message of King Abdullah II. The Message, proclaimed in 2004, calls for Muslims all over the Globe to unite on the common grounds rather that divide due to differences.

During the Seminar, the Mufti had a chance to meet and talk to Minister of Awqaf Islamic Affairs and Holy Places Sheilh Muhammad Ahmad Al-Hileileh, Jordan Armed Forces Grand Mufti Majid Darawsheh, and Deputy Minister Abdallah Ali Al-Abbadi.

According to Sheikh Said, they don’t use the term chaplain in Jordan, with both the army and the police have their own Grand Mufti, while the subordinate chaplains have the status of army or police Imams respectively.

In their speeches, the highly respected Sheikhs stressed methods for overcoming radicalism, preaching the high Islamic values, and implementing modern intersect dialogue in Jordan, based on the principles declared by the Amman Message.
